Start with the areas you use

Concrete driveway, path and patio cleaning

Shade, rain and everyday traffic leave their mark on outdoor surfaces. Algae can build up along the edges of a path; tyre marks and general grime make a driveway look tired even when the house is clean.

Tell us whether you want the full driveway, only the front entrance, or several areas washed together. We’ll identify the surfaces and any delicate edges before quoting.

  • Concrete driveways
  • Paths and entranceways
  • Patios and courtyards
  • Paved and brick areas, if suitable
  • Carports and parking areas
  • Agreed outdoor hard surfaces
Surface condition matters: Exposed aggregate, pavers, old concrete, loose joints and sealed finishes need individual care. Let us know about cracks, flaking or a coating before washing begins.

The right method for the job

Water blasting, washing and spot treatment

People often call every hard-surface clean “water blasting”. The method depends on what is underfoot and what needs removing. We’ll talk through the surface and its condition first.

General build-up

Concrete pressure washing

On suitable sound concrete, controlled pressure washing helps lift accumulated dirt, grime and surface growth. The aim is an even clean across the agreed area, including the edges where practical.

Pressure and technique are adjusted for the concrete. A worn or fragile surface may need a more cautious approach.

Marks that need a closer look

Algae, oil and other stains

Green growth may call for a treatment as well as washing. Oil, rust and old stains behave differently: some can be improved, while stains that have soaked in may remain visible.

Point out problem spots in your enquiry so we can explain what is realistic and quote any targeted treatment separately.

A cleaner result starts with a clear plan

What happens before the driveway wash?

We need to know the size of the area, surface type, access to water and where the wash water can go. Please mention nearby garden beds, painted surfaces, stormwater drains and any area that cannot get wet.

Runoff needs attention, particularly where dirt or cleaning products could enter a stormwater drain. We’ll discuss the site conditions and planned approach before starting, including how wash water will be managed.

Tell us whether cars can be moved and where the nearest tap is. If you want a house wash at the same time, say so in the same enquiry.

Driveway and concrete cleaning FAQs

Questions before booking

Do you clean driveways in Auckland and Northland?

Yes. Send the address in Auckland, Whangārei or elsewhere in Northland and a few photos of the area. We’ll confirm availability and provide a quote for the surfaces you want cleaned.

Is driveway cleaning the same as water blasting?

Water blasting or pressure washing is one way to clean suitable hard surfaces. The right method depends on the concrete, pavers or coating and what needs removing. We choose the approach after reviewing the surface.

Can you remove slippery algae from a concrete path?

We can clean surface growth from suitable concrete paths and discuss whether a treatment is appropriate. A freshly cleaned path can still become slippery again with rain, shade and new growth, so keep an eye on shaded areas.

Will pressure washing remove oil stains?

It can improve some marks, but oil that has soaked into porous concrete may not come out completely. Send a close-up when requesting a quote so we can discuss whether targeted treatment is worthwhile.

Can you clean pavers, brick or exposed aggregate?

We can assess these surfaces, but they need care around joints, edging and any sealer. Tell us the material and share photos, especially if the surface is old, loose or flaking.

How long does a driveway wash take?

It depends on the area, the amount of build-up, access and any treatment needed. Photos and dimensions help us give you a sensible estimate when quoting.

Do I need to move my car?

Yes, please move vehicles from the surfaces being washed and make the tap accessible. It also helps to move pots, mats and loose items from the work area.

Can driveway cleaning be booked with a house wash?

Yes. Ask for both in the same enquiry and we’ll discuss the scope of each service. Driveway water blasting and low-pressure house washing use different methods.
