House Wash NZ · Auckland & Northland

Pre-sale house washing in Auckland & Northland

The photos are booked. Then you notice the green on the front wall.

We clean the outside of homes before listing photos, open homes and viewings. Start with an exterior house wash, then add the areas buyers will see on arrival. We’ll agree the scope before work begins.

Exterior house washing

Optional paths, driveway & outdoor areas

Auckland, Whangārei & Northland enquiries

Choose the areas that matter

What goes into a pre-sale wash?

For most homes, the exterior house wash is the starting point. We assess the cladding and clean the agreed accessible walls, eaves, soffits, fascia and outside faces of spouting where suitable. The method depends on the surface and its condition.

If the entrance path, driveway or deck will appear in photos or be used for viewings, ask us to include those too. There is no need to order every service: we can quote the areas you choose.

  • House exterior soft washing
  • Entrance paths & steps
  • Driveway & concrete cleaning
  • Deck & fence cleaning
  • Gutter & spouting clearing
  • Roof wash or treatment assessment
What the quote covers: The house wash and any extras will be listed separately. Clearing debris from inside gutters, roof work, windows, paths, decks and driveways are included only when agreed in the quote.

Spend the time where it shows

Start with what people will see first

If the listing date is close, let us know the priority areas. A quick look at the marketing photos planned by your agent can help decide the order.

Before the photographer arrives

Front of house & entrance

The street-facing walls, entry and any visible green growth are a sensible place to start. If the driveway, path, steps or fence line are in shot, tell us so we can quote those areas too.

Exterior windows can be discussed separately if you want them included after the wash.

Before open homes & viewings

Outdoor living & side access

Buyers may walk past the side of the house and step onto the deck. Cleaning accessible paths, outdoor seating areas and visible fencing can make those spaces more pleasant to use.

Tell us about shaded or slippery areas, pets, planting and any access limits before we visit.

Working to a listing date

Book with enough time to finish and dry

Send the address, a few photos and the date your photographer is due. We’ll confirm what can be inspected, cleaned and scheduled. Allow time for washed areas to dry, especially in shade or unsettled weather.

An exterior clean can remove surface dirt and growth. It cannot repair peeling paint, rotten timber, rust, cracked concrete or permanent staining. We’ll flag visible limitations where we can, so you can decide whether a repair is needed before photos.

Send your property details

A useful message to send us

“Photos on Friday. Here are the areas I’m worried about.”

Include wide photos of each side of the house, a close-up of any stubborn mark, your suburb and the preferred completion date.

If your agent or property manager is organising access, include their details and confirm who can approve the work.

We can then discuss the practical scope and availability without guessing from a one-line request.

Pre-sale wash FAQs

Questions before you book

What is included in a pre-sale house wash?

The starting point is an exterior house wash of the accessible, agreed surfaces. The exact walls, eaves, fascia and outside faces of spouting depend on the property and quote. We list optional work separately so you know what will be cleaned.

Can you wash my house before listing photos?

Yes, subject to availability and a suitable scope. Tell us the photo date as early as you can and send photos of the property. We’ll discuss timing, weather and the drying time needed before the photographer arrives.

How long before an open home should I book exterior cleaning?

Book as soon as you have a likely listing date. Job size, weather, access and drying conditions all affect the schedule. If an open home is very close, tell us your deadline and we’ll confirm what can reasonably be done.

Are the roof, gutters, driveway and windows included?

They are separate areas to discuss. Roof washing or treatment, clearing debris from inside gutters, driveway cleaning and exterior window cleaning are included only if they appear in the agreed quote.

Can washing remove mould, algae and stains from the outside of a house?

Washing can remove many types of surface dirt and visible growth. Some staining, oxidisation or damage may remain, and the method must suit the cladding and finish. Send a close-up photo of any mark you are concerned about.

Will a pre-sale wash fix peeling paint or weathered timber?

No. Cleaning does not repair paint, timber, rust or cracks. Loose coatings may need a painter or other trade, and a pre-paint wash is a different scope if you intend to repaint.

Do you provide pre-sale washing in Auckland and Northland?

We take enquiries for Auckland, Whangārei and Northland. Send the address so we can confirm service availability, access and timing for your property.

Can a real estate agent request a quote for the seller?

Yes. The agent can send the property address, photos and target dates. Please identify who can approve the quote, arrange access and receive the work details.
